Una mujer estadounidense afrontará cargos de tráfico humano por presuntamente canjear a su hijo recién nacido por una camioneta que las autoridades creen que luego vendió por 800 dólares y unas pastillas de metanfetamina.
Heather Ann Kaminsky, de 30 años, quien se encontraba en una cárcel del condado de Putnam, en el norte de Florida , fue entregada el pasado jueves a las autoridades de Kentucky que habían emitido una orden de captura en su contra, dijo hoy la oficina del Alguacil de Putman.
Un detective del alguacil halló a la mujer y junto con agentes del U.S. Marshal’s Service la arrestaron el pasado 18 de julio en un supermercado de Palatka.
Kaminsky habría intercambiado a su hijo recién nacido por una camioneta Dodge Dakota de 1999 en enero de este año con Jeremy y Jamiee Brown, una pareja del condado de Laurel de Kentucky, quienes también afrontarán acusaciones de tráfico humano, según las autoridades.
La mujer tiene dos hijos más y el Departamento de Familias y Niños asumió la custodia de los menores.
“Este es un gran caso que el condado de Laurel está tomando muy en serio. Ellos están contentos de tenerla a ella y yo estoy muy orgulloso del detective John Merchant y el excelente trabajo que hizo para llevarla ante la justicia”, declaró el alguacil Jeff Hardy en un comunicado.
