El corredor Félix Sánchez dio su primera medalla de los Juegos Olímpicos Londres 2012 a la República Dominicana, al conquistar la medalla de oro en los 400 metros con vallas.
Esta es la segunda medalla de oro olímpica para el Súper Sánchez, que fue el primero en lograr tal hazaña para la República Dominicana.
Félix Sánchez clasificó a la final el pasado sábado al terminar con el mejor tiempo de todos los semifinalistas de la prueba. Su tiempo en la semifinal fue de 47.76 segundos
En esta misma competencia, en 2004, Félix Sánchez ganó la medalla de oro en los Juegos Olímpicos de Atenas 2004.
